Ferrari 355F1 GTB 1998 TDF

Ferrari introduced the F355 at the end of 1994 as successor of the 348, which had left mixed feelings with the press and its owners. Albeit that the F355 was largely based on the 348, a lot of major visual and technical changes were applied to the new model. The F355 gained a substantial increase in horsepower, but more importantly a lot of effort was made to increase the handling of the car compared to its predecessor. Visually the car was modernised greatly as well, all of this making the F355 a major success for the Italian car manufacturer. Many people still regard the F355 as being the last "pure" Ferrari built. In 1998 Ferrari introduced the F1 semi-automatic gearbox based on the same technology used in the Formula 1.

The 355F1 Berlinetta shown here in the beautiful Blue Tour de France with Tan color combination was originally delivered in 1998 to a diplomat in Paris by French Ferrari importer Charles Pozzi . The car had two French owners from new before we added the 355 to our selection . The car was stripped of the sticky plastic problems and the leather got a complete treatment.

The 355 were the first Ferrari's delivered with the F1 system , and although to today's standard shifting is relatively slow, the transmission is anything but that and the 355 drives and shifts smoothly. Moreover, only 1044 pieces of the F1 Berlinetta were built, and with the stunning color and condition of the Berlinetta is a sure future asset. Also this beautiful car can be seen in our showroom.
